Brian Kissane has been involved with all types of funiture for the past thirty years.
Initially he completed a four year apprenticeship in French Polishing via Prahran Tafe College,
whilst working for a company at the time called Danish Deluxe, who were responsible
for much of the furniture which went into the Canberra Parlaiment House Building.
From there Brian has worked with some of the top French Polishers and Antique Restorers
in Melbourne, before starting his own Business in 1995. Since then he has worked for high
profile Antique Dealers, but the majority of the work has been in working with private households
and businesses. Other projects include restoration work at the Fitzroy Town Hall, which is a
Heritage Listed Building.
Brian is well versed in all aspects of timber furniture including old and new pieces.
He offers traditional French Polishing, and modern finishes also. (And sometimes painted finishes)
All manner of repairs, reconstruction, and preservation of timber work is part of the service offered.
Most of the work can be done on-site at your convenience, or it can be taken away in some cases.
Customers will find that Brian is reliable, efficient and happy to converse with clients, to insure the
desired outcome is achieved and satisfaction has been met.
